Last night we went to a dinner party with some good friends from
Kellogg. It was special because our host and cook was
Sarah Grueneberg, the runner-up in last seasons
Top Chef. Besides her reality TV experience, she is also the executive chef at
Spiaggia, an Italian restaurant here in Chicago.
Several months ago we attended a
Charity Auction hosted by Kellogg (David's school). Together with a group of 12, we bid on the opportunity for this dinner. Sarah donated her time and supplies, and the money we paid goes directly to the charities supported by the auction.
It was a great time and Sarah was super nice. She answered all of my cooking questions and made some delicious food for us. With graduation quickly approaching, it was a great opportunity to be able to spend time with a close group of friends who will be moving to different parts of the country next month.

I was mildly jealous until I saw this post and discovered that she made my favorite food. Now I'm jealous beyond words. :-)
