Happy Birthday David! It may seem like this post is a few weeks late, but we really just finished an almost month long celebration. We were fortunate to have many out-of-town visitors to celebrate with us. The weekend of the big day, we celebrated by going out to dinner at FT33, a newish restaurant in Dallas that David has had his eye on the past few months. The food and company were great!
On David's birthday, we went to a new, vintage-themed bowling alley, Bowl & Barrel, with our friends Ben and Monica.
Afterwards we went to check out the new Klyde Warren Park. This park is unique because it was built on the top of a highway overpass. It feels very urban, almost a bit artificial. But it serves a useful purpose of connecting Uptown and Downtown Dallas for pedestrians. It also has some great good trucks.
We had some Korean tacos, and look forward to trying some Cool Haus custom made ice cream sandwiches next time.
The first weekend in March we had a group of friends from DC visit. We had a good time taking them around the DFW area, we tried a new (new to us, definitely not new) authentic BBQ, Angelo's.
Angelo's must have some talented hunters amongst the team.
We had a great trip to Fort Worth, David P. even got to ride on a Texas Longhorn.
We all went to see the Professional Bull Rider's (PBR) event at Cowboy's stadium. The stadium was amazing, we were all very impressed at the size of the building, and more importantly the size of the big screen. There was a lot of bull riding, and even some "mutton bustin,'" which apparently is where small children ride on sheep, see photo below.
The following weekend, we had a group of friends from Kellogg come to visit us, from St. Louis, San Francisco, and Houston. We had a great Texas-style weekend and enjoyed more BBQ and bull riding, along with a night out at a honky tonk.
We had a bit of rain Saturday, which allowed us plenty of time to visit Dave and Buster's, where David discovered a hidden talent of dominating everyone at this light game.

Our final visitors, Amanda and Madeleine arrived on Monday from Seattle. They entertained me during my Spring Break from classes.
Our smallest and cutest visitor, Madeleine, took her first crawl on the blanket in our backyard on Wednesday. She also tried to share her toys nicely with Lucy.
We had a great week exploring Denton and the TWU campus, along with Fort Worth.
