It has been a busy couple of weeks here in our new hometown. We have still been getting out as much as we can to explore the city and are beginning to appreciate the strong sense of community that is abundantly evident around here. Not only is that sense of community strong for the state of Texas but really, every sub-community as well. Last week we kicked off the weekend by heading to the Addison Oktoberfest with a Kellogg couple which was great because not only was there a huge beer garden but also a fair was alongside with games and rides! (everyone that knows me knows that I am a sucker for things like this...).

Then later that weekend we headed downtown to have dinner at the top of reunion tower. It was a great dinner with amazing views of the city and of probably the entire state of Texas as the surrounding area is as flat as a pancake.
Now continuing on the food trend, the following day we decided to do
some furniture shopping for the house but because we knew how long and
arduous the task would be, we decided to fuel up on some of the best
darn breakfast tacos in the
city.
The breakfast tacos hit the spot and would be crucial in our ongoing quest for the
that one piece of furniture that we are missing to really tie together our new place (see below).

| Still can't comprehend why Nay vetoed me--It's leopard print if you can't see it. |
So onwards the furniture shopping goes and as it will seemingly never end. But I have faith that both Denaye and I will find everything that we are looking for. If not we have decided that we always have a backup plan.
As for now we finally have some rain and the temps will drop to below 90 for the next week which is much better than the forecast a few weeks ago. So we are looking forward to the weather and getting closer to the big move to our home.
